BOBS invites eligible service providers to express interest in assessing BOBS quality management system to establish compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Standard and in accordance with the key assessment areas, surveillance schedule, and in the sites referenced below.
Key assessment areas: Standards Development; Provision of quality and standards related information (Standards Sale); Laboratory consultancy; Product certification; Training services; Trade Metrology; Marketing; Procurement; Human Resources; Facilities & Administration; Branch office (Which calibrates weights and measures used in trade [mass and volume], and Provision of quality and standards related information), etc.
Sites: Gaborone Head office and Francistown branch.
Assessment schedule: Every 12 months for 3 years.
DELIVERABLES
Expected key deliverables are:
a) To carry out 3rd party audit to verify compliance of BOBS QMS against ISO 9001:2015, comprising of documentation review, an initial assessment (Stage 1) and compliance assessment (Stage 2) followed by annual surveillance audits.
b) The expected cycle is three (3) years.
c) Issue on completion of satisfactory assessment a certificate of compliance, any accreditation marks, and logos for BOBS to use in promotional materials or publications.
d) Carry out surveillance visits as per schedule.
e) Issue audit reports after each assessment outlining any non-conformities identified, the overall performance of the QMS and request a follow-up visit to verify corrective actions, if necessary.
f) Provide qualifications and references of suitably qualified and competent personnel to perform the services including contact person.
g) Provide valid accreditation certificates.
h) Professional indemnity insurance.
i) Ability to apply ISO 9001: 2015 standard in a Standards Body with a Regulatory function.
